It is all over now, or is it really? Watching those baby-faced killers go about their gruesome errand, I was reminded of Obama writing about 9/11: 'My powers of empathy, my ability to reach into another’s heart, cannot penetrate the blank stares of those who would murder innocents with abstract, serene satisfaction.'
Even as we were coming to terms with the global economic crisis, we are reminded we have more than one time-bomb ticking, and one right here at home.

so true..and yet our govt is looking for scape goats....
ReplyDeleteI feel very sorry for the city and its people. Terrorism happens everywhere now... and we need to fight the cause of it instead of looking for scape goats.
ReplyDeleteI hope those lost and misguided sheeps would one day realize that the true path to equality and peace is through non-violence and tolerance.
ReplyDeleteO yes. This is a more devastating n deadly bomb than the economic crisis(which anyways is a cyclical phenomenon)
ReplyDeleteHoping that it gets detonated soon!
I feel very sad about those two hotels. My good memories are linked with Taj and Oberoi.
ReplyDeleteAfter my engagement, for the first time when I took her out it was in Samarkand, Oberoi. I was used to buy my son's birthday cakes every year from Taj. So may times I have visited Taj for dinner and Oberoi for Buffet Lunch in Palms.
