Travel is Not Always Fun

My Little AngelWhile I am in the US, my daughter fell ill and had to be hospitalized in Pune; today she was doing better and I feel a little relieved. As I complete my meetings in the USA, I am counting down the days before I can be back with my family again.

During the early days when travel took so much longer, how difficult must it have been to leave your loved ones behind, not knowing if they were doing alright for months at a stretch? The most difficult part of travelling on business now is having to answer my four year old angel's questions of why I go away without her so many times.

I hope she's in full recovery, great photo BTW. As I'm contemplating a career change, it looks like no matter what I do I'm in for much more travel than I currently do. This is exactly what I'm worried about.

Glad that your daughter is fully recovered now :) I recently went for a 2-day training trip in Singapore, when my husband told me that my son kept looking for me and cried very sadly before falling asleep, that really hurt ...

@beelee: I know how that feels!

Hey Shantanu,

The post really touched my heart. It was a treat to see, how so few words leave such a big impact. :)

Now, I feel very lucky that I have chosen a way in life that will give me all, that a normal person want e.g being with family, Lifestyle and financial security.

Anyway, Hats off!!! a great post!!!
