More Exotica From Tokyo
Some of the more exotic things I tasted during my recent trip to Tokyo were horsemeat, crispy fried tiny whole fish that initially looked like noodles, and roe of several local fish. Here are some pictures from my dinner at Oriori in Tokyo.
And here's a slideshow of much more for those devices that support Flash.

Yikes... horsemeat!
I am not sure whether I would be able to get myself to taste it even if I do manage to find a place serving it!
I always wanted to visit Tokyo. I don’t think I ever ate horsemeat before, but it looks great. I could have never guessed that those noodles-look-alike are fish actually. They do look a bit strange I might say.
@Aathira: Oh yes, 'yikes' is the most common comment I get when I mention this. :)
@pvc: I didn't think they would have horses - not enough to kill - but apparently they do!
Where are you ? No new Post ?
@Harekrishnaji: Had to take a little break from blogging. But I am back now. :)
The pictures of your diner look great actually. For the Japaneses everything is beauty and piece with nature and for is not surprising why all of those meals are like a little masterpiece with the only difference that they are eatable ;).
